Over the past weekend, Ghanaian players abroad showcased their talents with some standout performances.

Dutch-born Jeremie Frimpong made history by helping his club win the German Bundesliga title for the first time ever. The talented player had an exceptional season, making 27 appearances, scoring eight goals, and providing seven assists for Bayer Leverkusen.

Another German-born Ghanaian, Jamie Leweling, continued his impressive form by scoring his fourth goal of the season for Stuttgart in their 3-0 win over Frankfurt. His goal contribution helped his team secure a crucial victory.

In the English Premier League, Tariq Lamptey missed Brighton’s match due to injury, while Antoine Semenyo was also sidelined for Bournemouth’s game against Manchester United. However, Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp made an impact as substitutes for Crystal Palace in their 1-0 win against Liverpool at Anfield.

Unfortunately, Thomas Partey was an unused substitute for Arsenal in their 2-0 loss to Aston Villa, preventing them from claiming the top spot in the league.

In La Liga, Abdul Mumin and Rayo Vallecano kept a clean sheet in their goalless draw against Getafe, while Iñaki Williams played the full 90 minutes for Athletic Club in their 1-1 draw with Villarreal. Baba Iddrisu was not used for Almeria in their 2-2 draw with Real Sociedad.

In Serie A, Emmanuel Gyasi played the full game for Empoli in a 1-0 defeat to Lecce, while Ibrahim Sulemana featured for Cagliari in their 2-2 draw against Inter Milan.

In Ligue 1, Salis Abdul Samed missed Lens’ match due to injury, and Alidu Seidu did not play for Rennes in their 2-1 loss to Toulouse. Andre Ayew played 88 minutes for Le Havre in their 1-0 defeat at home to Nantes.
