Ibrahim Sulemana, a Ghanaian international, is thrilled after making his debut for Atalanta in a preseason friendly over the weekend. The Black Stars midfielder came on as a substitute in Atalanta’s 2-2 draw against AZ Alkmaar at AFAS Stadion.

Replacing Mario Pasalic in the 58th minute, the 21-year-old put on an impressive performance that helped his team secure a draw in the friendly match. Sulemana took to social media to express his excitement, writing “My first ❤. A great feeling. #GoAtalantaGo” on X, formerly known as Twitter.

AZ Alkmaar took the lead in the first half through Troy Parrott, but Atalanta fought back strongly in the second half. An own goal from David Møller Wolfe in the 65th minute leveled the score, and Charles De Ketelaere gave Atalanta the lead five minutes later. However, Lequincio Zeefuik’s goal in the closing minutes ensured the game ended in a draw.

Sulemana’s outstanding performance comes after his move to Atalanta, who will be competing in the Champions League this season following an impressive campaign at Cagliari last year. The young midfielder will be looking to make a mark in the upcoming season and continue to impress for both club and country.
