David Sandan Abagna, a Ghanaian midfielder, impressed fans with his skills on the field as he scored a crucial goal for CS Petrocub in their impressive 3-0 win against FC Bălți in the Moldovan Super Liga Championship clash over the weekend.
The game saw former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora start for CS Petrocub, while his compatriot Seidu Basit came on as a substitute in the 85th minute to replace Mihail Platica. Abagna’s goal, which came in the 24th minute, set the tone for CS Petrocub’s victory. Moldovan midfielder Mihail Platica added a second goal in the 68th minute, with Mihai Lupan sealing the victory in the 81st minute.
Abagna’s impressive performance in the match is a promising sign of what is to come from him at Petrocub, especially considering he only joined the club in February 2024. His transfer to Petrocub was made possible by the efforts of Nana Yaw Amponsah, who is the club’s new president and a former Asante Kotoko manager.
