Ghanaian forward Kwaku Karikari has made a big move to Danish club AC Horsens in the current transfer window.
The 22-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the team, ensuring his presence until 2028. Karikari joins the club from FK Jedinstvo Ub in Serbia, where he had an impressive season that saw him contribute 16 goals and 9 assists to help the team secure promotion to the Serbian top-flight.
Karikari was named the Player of the Season for FK Jedinstvo in the 2023/24 campaign, showcasing his talent with 29 goals and 16 assists in 68 matches across various competitions during his two-year spell with the club. The young attacker has already started training with his new team and is expected to make his debut in their upcoming league game against Hillerod Fodfold.
The acquisition of Karikari comes at a crucial time for AC Horsens, who recently suffered a 1-3 defeat to FC Fredericia in their opening game. The club will be looking to the Ghanaian forward to make an impact and help turn their fortunes around in the league.
Prior to his move to Serbia, Karikari had stints with Liberty Professionals and Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League, showcasing his skills and potential as a top talent in the country.
Now, he is set to bring his talents to Denmark and make a name for himself in the European football scene with AC Horsens.
