Ghanaian forward Benjamin Acquah showcased his excellent playmaking skills during Helsingborg’s recent match against Sandvikens IF in the Swedish Superettan.

Despite providing an assist to help his team score two goals, Helsingborg was unable to secure a victory and had to settle for a 2-2 draw in a closely fought game on Sunday.

This was the first encounter between the two teams and both sides displayed determination right from the start. Acquah, who was in the starting lineup, played an impressive 76 minutes and played a crucial role in setting up Wilhelm Loeper’s opening goal for Helsingborg. Later in the game, Ervin Gigovic scored Helsingborg’s second goal in the 55th minute.

Although Helsingborg had more possession throughout the match, Sandvikens IF managed to capitalize on their chances, with goals from John Junior Igbarumah and Emil Engqvist leveling the scoreline twice. Acquah’s contribution on the field was evident in his overall performance during the game.

After this draw, Helsingborg currently sits in 6th place on the league table with 10 points from seven games in the 2024 Swedish Superettan season. Acquah, who has played in all seven games so far, has managed to find the back of the net once. Fans will be hoping for more standout performances from the Ghanaian forward as the season progresses.
