Ghanaian duo Kwasi Poku and Nana Ampomah score in Forge FC’s win against HFX Wanderers

Canadian-born Ghanaian striker Kwasi Poku and Ghanaian winger Nana Ampomah showcased their talent as they led Forge FC to a resounding 3-0 victory over HFX Wanderers FC in the Canadian Premier League.

The match, which took place at Tim Hortons Field, saw both players shine throughout the full 90 minutes. Poku opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a precision left-footed shot from close range, courtesy of an assist from David Choinière. He continued his scoring spree in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a set piece to double Forge FC’s lead. Ampomah joined in on the action in the 69th minute with a spectacular right-footed shot from outside the box, following a swift counterattack and assisted by Choinière.

The victory extends Forge FC’s dominance over HFX Wanderers, with a head-to-head record of nine wins, four losses, and nine draws. Poku has been a force to be reckoned with this season, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in 15 games. Ampomah, on the other hand, has made an impact in his five appearances, netting one goal and assisting another.
