English-born Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu, who has been on loan to Greek Super League club PAS Ioannina since January, is on his way back to VfL Bochum at the end of the season. However, it seems like his future at the German club is uncertain, with reports from WAZ suggesting that he is not part of Bochum’s long-term plans, especially with the threat of relegation looming over the club.

Despite playing seven games for Ioannina in the last six months, Osei-Tutu, 25, is unlikely to feature for Bochum as they look to offload him. The defender still has a contract with the club until 2025, with a current market value of 700,000 euros according to Transfermarkt. His experience and potential could attract interest from other clubs looking to strengthen their defensive line.

VfL Bochum will be facing Fortuna Dusseldorf in the second leg of their relegation/promotion playoff at the Merkur Spiel-Arena on Monday. After suffering a 3-0 defeat on home soil in the first leg, Bochum will need a remarkable comeback to avoid relegation and secure their spot in the Bundesliga for next season.

In contrast, Fortuna Dusseldorf only needs to maintain their lead and avoid a disastrous collapse to make a return to the German top-flight after a four-year absence. It will be a tense and crucial match for both teams, with the future of VfL Bochum hanging in the balance.
