Jeremie Frimpong, the Dutch-born Ghanaian defender who has been making waves at Bayer Leverkusen, has sparked a heated debate in the football world with his recent comments comparing Eden Hazard and Neymar.

In a conversation with Goal on TikTok, Frimpong was asked to choose between Hazard and Neymar, two incredibly talented wingers of the modern era. Without any hesitation, Frimpong made it clear that he believes Hazard, during his time at Chelsea, was superior to Neymar.

When asked “Hazard or Neymar?”, Frimpong responded emphatically, “Oh my days, at Chelsea, Eden Hazard bro.”

Hazard, who had a successful stint at Chelsea before moving to Real Madrid and then retiring at the age of 33 on October 10, 2023, was widely regarded as one of the best wingers in the world during his prime.

On the other hand, Neymar, who is currently 32 years old and playing for Al-Hilal SFC in the Saudi Pro League, has had a successful career playing for top clubs like FC Barcelona and PSG, as well as his youth club Santos in Brazil.

Frimpong’s opinion has sparked discussions among football enthusiasts, with some agreeing with his assessment of Hazard’s superiority over Neymar, while others believe Neymar’s skills and achievements make him the better player. The debate continues to divide opinions as fans of both players defend their favorites.
