Ghanaian defender Fard Ibrahim was in fine form as he found the back of the net for FC Isloch Minsk Raion in their recent 3-2 loss to Dynamo Brest in the Belarus Premier League.
Despite the defeat, Ibrahim’s performance was a standout as he played the full 90 minutes and managed to score a crucial goal. This was Ibrahim’s first goal of the season in the league.
The game was a closely contested one, with Dynamo Brest taking the lead through German Barkovsky in the 22nd minute. However, Aleksandr Shestyuk equalized for FC Isloch Minsk Raion just before halftime.
Dynamo Brest regained the lead early in the second half with Mikhail Gordeychuk scoring in the 46th minute. But Fard Ibrahim once again leveled the score for FC Isloch Minsk Raion in the 53rd minute.
It was Gordeychuk who had the final say, converting a penalty in the 78th minute to secure the victory for Dynamo Brest.
With this result, FC Isloch Minsk Raion sits in 9th place on the league table with 20 points from 16 games. Their next challenge will be against Shakhtyor Soligorsk on August 10th.
