The Student’s Representative Council (SRC) of the Ghana School of Law (GSL) has taken a remarkable step in supporting its members by providing financial assistance to cover school fees and exam fees for 90 students.
This initiative aims to lessen the financial burden on students as they navigate through the academic year and prepare for their final exams.
Led by the 61st Emefa-led SRC, this gesture showcases the council’s commitment to ensuring that all students have an equal opportunity to excel in their academic pursuits. The project, known as the Onuado Scholarship Fund, was a campaign promise of the SRC President, Gertrude Emefa Donkor, and has been met with enthusiasm from the student body.
“We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and we are committed to removing financial barriers to education,” stated Gertrude Emefa Donkor. The announcement of the scholarship fund comes at a crucial time for students, providing much-needed relief and support as they prepare for their exams.
The initiative has received praise from students who now have the chance to focus on their studies without the worry of financial constraints. Beneficiaries of the fund, such as Justice Owusu, expressed gratitude for the assistance, highlighting the impact it has on their academic journey.
As students gear up to write their exams in June, they can take comfort in knowing that the SRC is behind them, offering unwavering support and encouragement.
The Executive Council of the SRC, comprising individuals like Gertrude Emefa Donkor, Benjamin Agyemang Duah, Sarah Maanaa Ansah, and others, continues to work towards creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
