The Ghana Police Service is bidding a solemn farewell to one of its most esteemed members, P/H Sergeant Queen Mother.
This gallant horse, known for its unwavering dedication and service, passed away on August 8, 2023, leaving a legacy of remarkable ceremonial performances and state functions.
To this effect, the Ghana Police Service has paid tribute to the horse for its time and service in the forces.
P/H Sergeant Queen Mother, a symbol of honor and loyalty, had been a cherished member of the Police Mounted Squadron since 2019.
It participated in significant events, including Independence Day Parades and the graduation of Cadet Officers. The horse’s imposing presence and dignified demeanor made it a beloved crowd favorite during public events, evoking pride and respect.
In recognition of its contributions, P/H Sergeant Queen Mother has been posthumously promoted to the rank of a Sergeant.
