Muhammad Sidat, the Head of Professional Football at the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has commended Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku for his exceptional leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
During his visit to Ghana, Sidat conducted a workshop on the Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) for 15 Member Associations, as well as clubs in the Ghana Premier League, Women’s League, and Division One League.
Sidat praised Simeon-Okraku for the significant progress and growth seen in Ghanaian football since he assumed office in 2019. Under his leadership, the GFA has implemented crucial changes aimed at revitalizing and advancing Ghana football.
Simeon-Okraku’s focus on creating wealth and establishing strong structures and systems is paving the way for Ghana football to become a powerhouse in Africa and on the global stage.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Sidat highlighted Ghana’s achievements in football, including qualifying for the AFCON and the World Cup, hosting the WAFU Zone B tournament, and winning the All Africa Games in both the Men’s and Women’s categories.
He pointed out the success of Dreams FC in reaching the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup and the ongoing CAF Licensing workshop in Ghana as further evidence of the positive trajectory of Ghana football.
Sidat expressed his confidence in the future of Ghana football, stating that the sport is thriving in the country and expressing hope for continued improvement and success. As someone involved with football federations across Africa, Sidat believes that Ghana football is in good hands and looks forward to seeing even more positive results in the future.
