The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to host the inaugural U15 Girls Inter-Regional Challenge Cup as part of the association’s Women’s Football Strategy implementation plan.
The Cup is scheduled to be officially launched on June 14, 2024, at the Conference Room of the GFA headquarters.
The GFA Executive Committee member, Eugene Nobel Noel, recently chaired a meeting with the Organising Committee at the GFA Secretariat to discuss and plan for the upcoming tournament. The competition will see the ten regions of Ghana divided into three zones, where teams will compete in a round-robin format to determine the top four teams that will advance to the semi-final stage.
The winners of the semifinals will then proceed to the final match of the U15 Girls Inter-Regional Challenge Cup. The GFA has also announced that individual category awards and further details regarding the tournament, including the balloting process, will be unveiled during the launch event on June 14.
