After Chris Hughton was fired as Ghana’s coach, the search for a new leader is still ongoing. On Wednesday in Kumasi, the Ghana Football Association will hold a press conference to discuss matters concerning the national team and the sport as a whole.

The FA received over 600 applications, so there is a lot of anticipation ahead of the meeting regarding who will be the next gaffer for the national team.

It is anticipated that the FA will discuss the technical leadership of the Black Stars, particularly in light of the upcoming international assignment in March.

Since then, the GFA has established a committee under the direction of Vice President Mark Addo to find and select a qualified applicant for the position.

The selection committee is searching for a head coach who has a track record of success, is in line with Ghana’s football heritage, and has a philosophy of coaching that is in line with the values of the national team.

Numerous well-known coaches, such as Felix Magath of Bayern Munich, Nikola Jurcevic of West Ham, and Maxwell Konadu of the Black Stars, are among the applicants.

Michael Osei, a former Bibiani Goldstars coach, is one of the other noteworthy applicants. The deadline for interested applicants was set by the GFA and has now passed. The selection process is now in progress.
