The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has launched an investigation into the tragic death of Lance Corporal Danso Michael, one of its officers.

The soldier was killed in a land dispute incident at Millennium City in Kasoa.

According to GAF, Lance Corporal Omar Abdul Rahman, who was attacked alongside Danso Michael, owned a half plot of land that was in dispute. Rahman had received information that some men were working on the disputed land and upon confirmation, he, along with Danso Michael and another colleague, visited the site to stop the men from working.

After reporting the issue to the Kasoa Millennium City police station, they were confronted by Benlord Ababio, who claimed ownership of the land and two others suspected to be land guards. In a senseless act of violence, Danso Michael was attacked and killed by Benlord Ababio.

GAF expressed its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased officer and assured the public that it will work closely with the Ghana Police Service to thoroughly investigate the matter.

In a positive development, the police have arrested one suspect, Benlord Abadio, in connection with the death of Lance Corporal Danso Michael. The investigation is ongoing, and more information is expected to be revealed as the case progresses.
