The Vice-President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo, and General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, are currently representing Ghana at the ongoing 74th FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.

This is their second consecutive appearance after attending the 2023 FIFA Congress in Kigali, Rwanda.

The Congress, which is being overseen by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, has brought together chiefs from all six continental governing bodies. The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok is the venue for the gathering of 211 Member Associations (MAs) for the Congress, which is set to conclude on Friday, 17th May, 2024.

One of the key issues to be discussed at the Congress is the confirmation of the host nation or nations of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027. The event will also address various challenges facing football and will culminate in a vote on Friday to determine the host of the 2027 Women’s World Cup, with Brazil and Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany in contention for the prestigious hosting rights.
