Accra Lions FC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, is over the moon after his team secured a historic victory against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
Tanko, who guided his team to a first-ever win over the Phobians, described the triumph as massive.
In a post-match interview, Tanko commended his players for sticking to their game plan and clinching the crucial win against their tough opponents in Week 28 of the league campaign.
“We knew it was going to be a tough game against Hearts of Oak. We instructed the players to stick to their normal game and take advantage of the chances that come their way. Securing all three points against Hearts of Oak is a great achievement,” Tanko said.
With this victory, Accra Lions FC has climbed to third place in the Ghana Premier League standings. The team is now gearing up to face Aduana Stars in their next fixture as they aim to continue their winning streak.
