George Pérez was a comic book artist who passed away on May 6, 2022.
His work for Marvel and DC cemented his place as one of the most recognized comic book creators of the last five decades.
He passed away at the age of 67.

Pérez was married to Carol Flynn. He had no children.
He had a brother David, and a niece and nephew.
Throughout his long career, Pérez worked on a variety of successful publications, including The New Teen Titans, which he co-created in 1980 with writer Marv Wolfman. (They made Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire, and transformed Dick Grayson into Nightwing.)
Perez is also responsible for the Wonder Woman reboot in 1987, as well as two consecutive runs on the Avengers series.
He died as a result of complications from pancreatic cancer.
He will be missed for his dynamism in the art.
