Genard Avery is an American football outside linebacker who was born on April 26, 1995. Avery now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). After spending four years playing college football for the Memphis Tigers, the Cleveland Browns selected him in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Avery inked a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 28, 2022, for a duration of one year. On August 23, 2022, Avery was finally set free. Avery became a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 25, 2022, after the team had inked a contract with him. On August 30, 2022, he was let go from the team and on August 31, 2022, he was added to the practice squad. On October 11, he was moved up to the active roster and given more responsibility.
