Gary Pearson was a professional footballer and manager from Englandnho died on July 1, 2022.

He has played for Sheffield United, Stalybridge Celtic, Gateshead, Spennymoor United, Seaham Red Star, and Whitby Town.

Pearson began his career as a member of the Sheffield United junior system before signing a professional deal with the club on July 3, 1995.

He was 45.

Gary Pearson died from a suspected heart attack.

Pearson was re-signed by Gateshead, who was now in the Northern Premier League Premier Division at the time, on March 31, 2006.

He appeared in six games for Gateshead before the end of the 2005-06 season.

In July 2006, he signed as a player coach with Horden Colliery Welfare. Later that year, he joined Sunderland Nissan and stayed with them until 2009, when the club dissolved.

Pearson served as Crook Town’s player coach during the 2011-12 season before taking over as manager in December 2011. He resigned in May 2014 to take over at Ryhope Colliery Welfare. In 2022, he was appointed manager of Billingham Town.
