After Manchester United gave up four goals in a terrible first half against Brentford, Gary Neville ripped into the Red Devils.
Erik ten Hag was well aware of the scope of the rebuilding project he confronts after watching his team struggle to a humiliating 2-0 loss to Brighton at Old Trafford last week.

And so it happened: Josh Dasilva and Mathias Jensen scored early goals thanks to two blunders from David de Gea, and Ben Mee summed up the mismatch by outmuscling Lisandro Martinez to score a third.
‘Shell-shocked Erik ten Hag,’ said Neville. ‘If you’d have said to me before the game Brentford would score off a set-piece I’d say yes, I absolutely think they will.’
‘Martinez 5ft 9in against Ben Mee? No chance. You have to deal with the physical aspect of the Premier League and Manchester United are not doing that.’
