German-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Kohn was the star of the show as Galatasaray cruised to a 4-0 victory over Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The match, which took place on Monday night at the Kırbıyık Holding Stadyumu, saw Kohn showcase his skills both defensively and offensively.
Despite Alanyaspor having the upper hand in previous head-to-head encounters, Galatasaray dominated this game from start to finish. Goals from Baris Alper Yilmaz (56′, 72′), Hakim Ziyech (61′), and Mauro Icardi (83′) secured the convincing win for Galatasaray.
Kohn’s moment of brilliance came in the 72nd minute when he provided a perfectly timed assist to Yilmaz for Galatasaray’s third goal. The match took a turn for the worse for Alanyaspor when Leroy Fer was shown a red card in the 64th minute, further strengthening Galatasaray’s grip on the game.
This season, Kohn has played seven games, scoring once and providing one assist in the Super Lig. Galatasaray will be looking to continue their winning streak when they face Pendikspor in their next league fixture on April 21st.
