Ghanian comic and actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng well-known as Funny Face has been granted bail after spending weeks in jail following his recent accident where he knocked down five people with his Hyundai Atos car around 8:00 pm on March 24, 2024.
Due to that, the comedian was arrested and spent some weeks in jail to facilitate investigations. He has now been granted a 120, 000 cedis bail.
The Legal Affairs Desk of Joy FM, Richard Kojo Nyarko revealed the news.
According to Mr Richard during the midday news on April 9, 2024, he said; “We went to the Kasoa-Akweley district court where comedian Funny Face was put before the court. It was an in-camera hearing, so we are told he had been granted bail in the sum of GHC 120,000.”
He continued to update the public on the current condition of the victims, where he said “We are also told by police prosecutors that four of the victims of the accident are responding to treatment, so they have been discharged. The other one is currently recuperating.”
