Frederick Nuamah challenges John Dumelo for Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat

Actor Fred Nuamah plans to run for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency seat in the National Democratic Congress.

Although it is still uncertain who he would face in the 2020 elections, John Dumelo ran for the constituency seat on the National Democratic Congress ticket (NDC).

He was defeated by Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Like his coworker John Dumelo, Fred Nuamah is well-known in the film industry and has provided many Ghanaians with entertainment through his films.

He is the CEO of the annual award ceremony known as the Ghana Movie Awards, which honors achievement in the country’s film industry.

The date for both the presidential and parliamentary primaries has been set by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as May 13, 2023.

The party states that parliamentary candidates must choose a form and pay a non-refundable filing fee of GH 40,000 before running for office.

The cost of the presidential candidates’ forms is GH30,000, and they must file them with a GH500,000 non-refundable filing fee.
