Fereydun Robert Armisen is an American comedian, actor, writer, producer, and musician who was born on December 4, 1966.

Armisen co-created and co-starred in the IFC sketch comedy series Portlandia with his partner in comedy, Carrie Brownstein. Along with Bill Hader and Seth Meyers, he co-created and stars in the mockumentary IFC series Documentary Now (2015–present), as well as the Showtime comedy series Moonbase 8 (2020–present), which also features John C. Reilly and Tim Heidecker.
On The Looney Tunes Show, he provided the voice of Speedy Gonzales (2011–2013).
In addition to being the conductor and regular drummer for the Late Night with Seth Meyers house band, The 8G Band, Armisen launched ThunderAnt.com, a website that showcases the comedic sketches produced with Brownstein.

Armisen was nominated for an Emmy Award for his work on Portlandia in 2012, 2013, and 2014 for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series as well as in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
In 2019, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album for Standup for Drummers. Moreover, he has won two Peabody Awards: one in 2008 for his performance in the political satire sketch on Saturday Night Live and the other in 2011 for Portlandia.
He co-created the Spanish-language television series Los Espookys, in which he co-stars and serves as writer and executive producer, and he has done so since 2019.
He served as executive producer of Nira Burstein’s documentary Charm Circle in 2021.
