Veteran drummer and rhythm wizard Franco Vaz passed away today at the age of 69. In his illustrious career spanning five decades, Franco Vaz started with Kasme Wade (1978) and worked closely with RDB as his main drummer.

The musician fell unconscious after a fall at his residence and passed away. The death news was confirmed by senior journalist and author Chaitanya Padukone, a close associate of the late R.D. Burman, to ETimes.

The veteran played the role of Radhika Apte’s father in the movie.
