Following the game, Ghana’s goalkeeper trainer, Fatau Dauda, took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to one of Nigeria’s standout players, Stanley Nwabali, also known as “BoBo.” Dauda and Nwabali had previously been teammates at Enyimba International Football Club in Aba, Nigeria, back in 2019. Dauda himself had made 40 appearances in the Nigerian top flight for Enyimba, showing the strong connection between the two players.
In his tweet, Dauda reminisced about their time together in Aba and wished Nwabali all the best in his career, urging him to stay focused and keep pushing towards success. Nwabali had played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s team during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.
