Former SSNIT D-G’s parting words to staff: ‘naturally, I’ve wondered if there were things I could have done differently’

The former Director General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Dr John Ofori-Tenkorang, has bid farewell to the staff after serving for seven years. In an exclusive message, Dr Ofori-Tenkorang expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for the opportunity to lead the organization.

Reflecting on his tenure, Dr Ofori-Tenkorang highlighted the transformation that SSNIT underwent during his leadership. Additionally, he highlighted the successful merger of SSNIT and Ghana Card numbers, as well as the implementation of new investment guidelines to enhance returns.

Dr Ofori-Tenkorang expressed his gratitude to the staff, stakeholders, and the two Boards of Trustees he worked with during his term. He commended their support and collaboration in advancing the mission of SSNIT. He also encouraged the incoming Acting Director General and the entire staff to continue building on the successes achieved and to offer their full support.
