Former Seahawks and Ravens running back Alex Collins dies at 28-years-old

The Seattle Seahawks have reported that former NFL running back Alex Collins sadly died at the age of 28 after being involved in a motorbike accident.

Collins’ family released a statement in conjunction with the news that expressed their sorrow and asked for privacy during this trying time.

Collins was admired by his family, friends, and fans all throughout the world for his passion, tenacity, and larger-than-life attitude.

The Seattle Seahawks chose Collins in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Prior to spending two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, he played with the Seahawks for one season. He returned to the Seahawks for another two seasons after spending a year away from the league.

He most recently played for the Memphis Showboats of the USFL. The Ravens also shared their condolences, describing Collins as a kind and joyful person who brought light and love to those around him.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh praised Collins as a great teammate with an uplifting spirit and a significant contributor to the team’s success.
