Former Asante Kotoko striker Frank Etouga Mbella has reached out to the club’s supporters in an effort to calm nerves following the team’s less than stellar performance in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors currently find themselves in 11th place in the standings with only 33 points to their name, having suffered six defeats in their last seven matches and only managing to secure a single point during that time.

Speaking to Ghanasportspage, Mbella, who now plays for El Gouna, emphasized the importance of continuing to support the team despite their recent struggles on the pitch. He reminded fans that ups and downs are a natural part of football and expressed his belief that Asante Kotoko has the quality to bounce back from their current situation.

Mbella, who was a fan favorite during his time with Asante Kotoko, played a pivotal role in helping the team secure the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title by scoring 21 goals. After leaving Kotoko to join Al Masry in Egypt, the Cameroonian forward is currently on loan at El Gouna.
