Former Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone will be charged with fraud by false representation over an alleged failure to declare £400m of overseas assets to the government.

Bernard Charles Ecclestone is a British business magnate.
He is the former chief executive of the Formula One Group, which manages Formula One motor racing and controls the commercial rights to the sport, and part-owns Delta Topco, the previous ultimate parent company of the Formula One Group.
Bernie Ecclestone was born on October 28, 1930 (age 91 years), in Saint Peter, South Elmham, United Kingdom.

The 91-year-old F1 driver was charged by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on Monday, July 11, 2022, following an investigation by Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

The criminal charge relates to projected tax liabilities arising from more than £400m of offshore assets which were concealed from HMRC.

The HMRC said it’s on the side of honest taxpayers and will take tough action wherever they suspect tax fraud.
