Ekow Smith Asante

Well, it has become very normal for Ghanaian celebrities to say they want to be paid for their interviews.

Shatta Wale said same and the following day he was heard on radio granting interviews for free. Medikal did same and he is on a radio tour to promote his single.

The latest to join the bandwagon is Ekow Smith Asante who believes that since celebrities pay for advertisement of their works, they need to be paid to appear for interviews.

He made this known while in an interview with Accra-based Joy FM.

But his opinion seems to be a cause of worry for Journalist with kasapafmonline.com, Eddy Acquah who thinks the actor should rather beg the media to help him revive his dead career and stop asking for money before he grants interviews.

He said “Pay celebrities for interviews – Ekow Smith-Asante tells media houses

Masa please don’t try this in Africa.
You are currently struggling with your DEAD acting Career and instead of you to beg the media to do free publicity for you to resurrect your ‘Deceased’ acting career, you’re rather……??????”
