Concerned Dzodze residents have urged the government to fix the Aflao-Dzodze-Ho highway immediately. The highway has gotten to such an unacceptable state of disrepair that it is no longer a viable lifeline connecting major cities and towns.
This endangers drivers gravely, impedes business ventures, and undermines the general welfare of the communities it serves. The residents expressed in a statement issued on Monday, February 12th, that they could not watch helplessly as this vital infrastructure failed.
They underlined that the Aflao-Dzodze-Ho Highway was essential to their area and not just a piece of pavement. To ensure efficient and effective repair work, they consequently demanded immediate action, including a prompt assessment, sufficient funding, transparent execution, and cooperation with qualified experts and stakeholders.
They called on the country’s leaders to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation and promptly commit the required funds.
The Aflao-Dzodze-Ho Highway cannot wait for bureaucratic red tape or political posturing. To protect the communities’ prosperity and safety, swift action is needed,” they continued.
The locals promised to keep going until their voices were heard and the urgent problem was resolved.
They continued, “Together, we will make sure that the Aflao Dzodze Ho Highway is brought back to its former splendor and continues to serve as a symbol of prosperity and advancement for future generations. The time for action is now.”
