A near-gory traffic accident has resulted in body injuries to five occupants of a Toyota Corolla, including the driver.
This happened when a moving Mercedes Tipper truck was struck by the Toyota Corolla, which was allegedly moving at full speed.
The injured have been admitted to the hospital, including 29-year-old Emmanuel Nyomator and 48-year-old Opoku Andrews, the driver Agyemang Amankwah.
The other two patients are being treated at the hospital as well: Kwabena Boateng, 32, and Kingsley Narh, 27.
According to a police statement, the Toyota Corolla was driving toward Tech-junction on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. It was coming from the Ejisu direction.
“At Tech roundabout he failed to observe the traffic light when shown red with his speeding vehicle and crashed into a Benz Tipper truck No.AS9362G, being driven by Agyemang Amankwah, aged 48 years, who was from the CCC-direction when the Traffic light had shown green for him to go,” the statement read in parts.
The police stated that the accident vehicles have been hauled to the police station for testing and that further inquiries are still being conducted to determine the precise reason of the collision.
