The First Lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has reacted to the shocking demise of Former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.
Amissah-Arthur, who served under Ex-President John Dramani Mahama from August 2012 to January 2017, passed away Friday, June 19.
He reportedly collapsed during a gym routine at the Air Force Gym and was immediately rushed to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra where he was confirmed dead.
Reacting to the news, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has said she is saddened and shocked by his death and further described Amissah-Arthur’s demise as a big blow to the country.
In a tweet on early Friday, she stated: “The news of the sudden death of the former Vice President of the Republic, His Excellency Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur has shocked and saddened me. His sudden demise is a big blow to our country.”
