A concerned citizen shared a distressing video on Twitter, capturing the inferno consuming the shops. They expressed frustration, stating, “According to the inhabitants, they have alerted the Ghana fire service.
They are, however, yet to arrive as of 2:05 PM.”
This incident adds to Ghana’s growing list of fire outbreaks, with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reporting 2,177 incidents between January and March 2023.
Although this number marks a decrease compared to the 2,403 fires recorded during the same period in 2022, it highlights the ongoing need for improved fire safety measures.
