On Sunday mid-morning, a fire completely destroyed a private unit at Agric in the Kwadaso municipality of the Ashanti Region.
Several properties have been destroyed, despite the fact that no casualties have been reported.
It is said that Ghana Fire Service personnel arrived promptly to put out the fire.
The fire’s origin is currently unknown.
As he attached a hose to a waiting tender, one of the firefighters shouted, “It is early days yet to know the cause of fire.”
There was just one person inside when the fire began. A woman in her middle years appears distressed as she observes her possessions being burned by the raging fire.
She was escorted away from the horrific scene by a few people.
“We heard her shouting fire fire! we attempted to douse it with some buckets of water after placing a distress call to the Fire Service. Most areas of the house had been torched even before the tender arrived” a resident recounted.
