Beneficiaries of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) programme staged a demonstration on Thursday, February 17, 2022, to demand the payment of their overdue arrears. The Finance Ministry has responded to their petition, stating that the programme falls under the Office of the President, and any concerns should be directed through that office.

In a response dated July 11, the Finance Ministry advised the trainees to submit any additional documentation that could support their claims for payment. The Ministry assured that once these documents are reviewed and validated, the outstanding payments would be processed.

The Finance Ministry emphasized the importance of following the proper channels to address financial issues related to the NABCo programme. It outlined the procedural steps necessary for the resolution of payment delays, urging the trainees to adhere to the established process.

The demonstration by the NABCo beneficiaries highlights the challenges faced by participants in government-run programmes. As the Finance Ministry works to address the payment issues, it underscores the need for effective communication and transparency in managing such initiatives.
