Beyond Kontrol president Samuel Adu, also known as Medikal, has officially announced his split from wife Fella Makafui.
The rapper’s announcement came in response to a fan’s request for assistance, who asked other fans and music aficionados to keep track of Medikal’s activities.
In a tweet on microblogging network X, now known as Twitter, the fan urged all Chelsea supporters to support Medikal’s career, tagging Fella Makafui.
He wrote, “Chelsea lovers, can you join the most inspirational music Guru in Africa and beyond, Kontrol???? President: @medikalbyk. Wife: @fellamakafui_.
In reaction, the rapper swiftly called off his marriage to Fella Makafui. According to Medikal, he is separated from Fella, and their current relationship is co-parenting.
“Fella is no longer my wife; she is my baby’s mother; we are co-parenting now, and everything is fine,” Medikal tweeted on X on Saturday, March 30.
The couple got married in 2020. Rumours about their split surfaced in 2023, but neither officially addressed them.
Checks suggest that the pair has also unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Fella Makafui has modified her Instagram identity to exclude Mrs. Frimpong.
Medikal’s post on X on Saturday, March 30, also reveals that he has been blocked by Fella Makafui. Medikal has declared that he will address any difficulties surrounding his marriage on his Snapchat account at 6 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time on Sunday.
Meanwhile, some have voiced suspicion, claiming that it may be used to spark discourse ahead of Medikal’s show at Indigo O2.
