Feliciano López siblings: Meet brother Victor Lopez

Who is Feliciano López brother

Unlike most Spanish players, who almost always prefer clay courts due to their popularity in their home country, Feliciano López is an exceptional grass-court player, with three quarter-final runs at Wimbledon (his best Grand Slam showing), as well as four grass-court titles at the Eastbourne International in 2013 and 2014, and the Queen’s Club Championships in 2017 and 2019.

This is owing, in part, to his more conventional playing style, which resembles that of grass-court giants Pete Sampras and Roger Federer more than fellow Spaniards Rafael Nadal and Tommy Robredo. This conventional armament includes a powerful serve and a desire to come into contact with the net.

Victor Lopez is the known brother of the tennis star.

He did not take up tennis like Feliciano.

At the 2000 Estoril Open, his brother contested in only his second ATP tournament, losing to Juan Antonio Marn. On the Challenger circuit, he had a dismal showing, reaching only two quarter-finals.

López had a stronger year the following year, winning his second Futures tournament in France F3, defeating Juan Antonio Marn in the final, and reaching the final in Maia, losing to Jarkko Nieminen.

In addition, he won his first ATP title in the 2001 Chevrolet Cup, defeating Adrián Garcia. However, he was eliminated in the quarter-finals by eventual winner Guillermo Coria. He also made his Grand Slam debut in 2001, losing in straight sets to Carlos Moyá.
