Abami Eda, also known as Fela Kuti, was a Nigerian singer, bandleader, composer, political activist, and Pan-Africanist (born on October 15, 1938[1]; died on August 2, 1997) who was also known by the stage name Fela. Afrobeat is a Nigerian music genre that fuses jazz and funk with West African music, and he is credited as being the genre’s creator. One of Africa’s most “difficult and compelling music artists” was described of him at the height of his fame. He was called a voice of international relevance in music and sociopolitics by AllMusic.

Enitan Ransome-Kuti, Gboyega Ransome-Kuti, and Dotun Ransome Kuti are Fela Kuti’s nephews. As the late human rights campaigner Beko Ransome-son Kuti’s and a Nigerian Army soldier, Enitan Ransome-Kuti was born in 1964. He was the Multinational Joint Task Force’s Commander in 2015.
