Federation Entertainment, a French powerhouse, has relaunched as Federation Studios and hired a Group Chief Financial Officer.
The logo (right) has also been redesigned, and Julie Gualino Daly, along with other new finance team members, has joined as Group CFO.
As Federation Studios tries to expand, she will work closely with COO Benoit Lacombe to handle financial strategy and M&A.
The company, which employs 250 people, claims that its creative teams have increased by 30% in the previous few months alone.
Vertigo Films, the producer of Britannia and Bulletproof, was recently bought by the business. It has also partnered with US studio Anonymous Content to launch a joint venture in France, opened in the US through new management and production company Animal Federation, taken a majority stake in French independent studio Robin & Co, opened Glisk in Germany with veteran drama execs Philipp Steffens and Julie Link, and begun another UK venture with former eOne executives.
The producer-distributor Around the World in 80 Days has grown fast in the last year or two, and the new moniker is an attempt to “federate its different spheres of operation and enterprises,” according to the corporation.
