The public has been alerted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to the presence of unregistered bottled water on the market called SLIMFIT mineral water.
The FDA clarified that SLEMFIT, which is made by Twellium Industrial Company Limited and is a combination of mineral water and purified water, is the original brand name that was registered with its company.
On Friday, January 19, the company’s chief executive officer signed and released a press release containing this information.
The FDA gave the public the assurance that its surveillance teams are keeping a close eye on the markets in order to identify the manufacturers and distributors of the unregistered SLIMFIT mineral water and to remove it from commerce.
Additionally, since the safety and quality of unregistered products cannot be guaranteed, the statement urges customers not to purchase them.
The statement also urged all customers to be cautious when buying packaged goods and to report any suspicious items to the FDA so that appropriate regulatory action could be taken.
“Any pertinent information from the public is welcome to help the FDA.” Kindly use the following contacts for any questions or concerns regarding the aforementioned,” the statement said.
