Ghanaian sensation Fatawu Issahaku continues to impress in the English Championship, playing a crucial role in Leicester City’s recent 2-1 victory over rivals West Bromwich Albion.
The game, which took place at the King Power Stadium, saw Issahaku deliver an assist as Leicester secured the win. The pre-game head-to-head record favored Leicester City, with 8 wins compared to West Bromwich Albion’s 3 wins and 2 draws.
In the 22nd minute, Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi opened the scoring with a right-footed shot from close range. Leicester’s lead was extended in the 65th minute when striker Jamie Vardy headed in a goal from Abdul Fatawu’s cross, marking Issahaku’s 11th assist of the season.
Despite West Bromwich Albion pulling one back through Jed Wallace’s left-footed shot in the 76th minute, it wasn’t enough to overcome Leicester City’s dominance.
Issahaku has been in fine form this season, making 37 appearances, scoring three goals, and providing eleven assists in the Championship. Leicester City will now turn their attention to their next league fixture against Southampton as they aim to continue their impressive run of form.
