Cicconi purchased the car for $900 after the previous owners abandoned it in a pizza shop parking lot for four years. Instead of an expensive new paint job, she chose to wrap the door to give it a fresh and bold look. She started by cutting the vinyl film to size and then flattening the material to the car door’s body lines using a credit card.
The talented technician emphasized the importance of flattening from the center outward on both sides to avoid air bubbles. She then removed the wrap’s plastic backing and smoothed out any air bubbles with a heat gun before trimming the edges.
Cicconi’s TikTok tutorial has been widely praised for its simplicity and effectiveness. It has also garnered attention for her skill and creativity in car wrapping. Toyota’s 1987 Cressida, part of the model’s third generation, was known for its fuel injection and performance-enhancing transmission, making it a popular car among enthusiasts.
