Ethan Green Hawke is an American actor and film director who was born on November 6, 1970.
He has been up for four Oscars, two Golden Globes, and a Tony Award.
Before making his breakthrough appearance in the drama Dead Poets Society in 1989, he made his debut in the 1985 science fiction film Explorers. Before landing a role in the Generation X drama Reality Bites in 1994, for which he received praise from critics, he had appeared in a number of films.
In the Before trilogy by Richard Linklater, Hawke starred alongside Julie Delpy: Before Midnight (2013), Before Sunset (2004), and Before Sunrise (1995), which he co-wrote with Linklater and Delpy. Hawke’s folks were secondary school darlings in Post Worth, Texas, and wedded youthful, when Hawke’s mom was 17. When Hawke was born, his parents were both students at the University of Texas at Austin. He was four years old when they split up and got divorced.
