ET Mensah dies in South Africa: Family, wife, children, funeral arrangements

The Former Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency, ET Mensah whose full name is Enoch Teye Mensah, passed away in South Africa last night after battling with an undisclosed illness for some time at the age of 77. He was a Minister for Education and a Member of Parliament in Ghana from January 1997 till January 2017

ET Mensah was a member of the National Democratic Congress and has served in various capacities such as Minister for Education, Minister of Youth and Sports, Mayor of Accra, and representative of the Council of State for the Greater Accra Region.

E.T. Mensah was elected as a member of Parliament of the second parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana during the 1996 General Election. He retained his seat as Ningo Prampram MP until 2016 when he lost the NDC’s parliamentary primary to Samuel Nartey George.
