The Norwegian striker scored twice in Man City’s Premier League victory against West Ham on the opening day, and his decisiveness in the final third persisted against Bournemouth on Saturday. On Saturday, Erling Haaland extended his remarkable influence in the Premier League by assisting a goal with his very first touch of the ball.

The Norwegian forward, who scored twice in his league debut against West Ham last week, went 18 minutes without touching the ball in Manchester City’s match against Bournemouth before contributing a crucial touch. After a dominant opening period, Haaland assisted Ilkay Gundogan to score City’s first goal.

With the matchup against the newly promoted Cherries, City are strong favorites to maintain their undefeated start to the season. The Cherries would have been hoping to hold out for as long as possible and catch Pep Guardiola off guard on the counterattack.

But shortly after the halfway point, Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden each added a goal before Foden added a third goal with De Bruyne serving as the assist. With a late own goal by Jefferson Lerma, City secured a four-goal victory.
