Jackson only began speed skating in 2017. She began inline skating when she was 10 years old and later moved on to ice.
Jackson’s father was Tracy Jackson, is a retired Army veteran who specializes as a fire truck builder.
Rita Jackson was her mother, a medical assistant, who passed when she was in junior high. Her parents collected funds just to send the school to their daughter.
She qualified for the 2017 World Games in Wroclaw, Poland, in the inline speed skating event.
In November 2021, she won her first 500 metres Speed Skating World Cup event, setting two new needle marks and became the first Black American woman to win in the World Cup.
