He started working at Cadillac Motor Cars in 1978 as a sales manager.

He earned a reputation as one of the best salespeople in the nation while working for Cadillac. He left Cadillac in 1983 and started working at Home Depot. There, he worked his way up the company’s ranks and finally earned the titles of Executive Vice President and Regional Manager of Operations, where he was in charge of more than 200 stores across 17 states.

Eric left Home Depot after 16 years to become CEO of Staples Advantage, a division of Staples Inc., one of the biggest office supply firms in the world. He developed cutting-edge goods and services while employed at Staples Advantage, enabling companies to run more profitably while incurring lower costs.
